Fun Bachelorette Invites

Elegant calligraphy on perfumed, pastel-colored stationery has been done one too many times. It is high time to start coming up with out-of-the-box designs for bachelorette invites.

A smashing bachelorette party starts with the right invitation. It should depict the theme of the party, contain the essential information such as the name of the bride, date, time, venue, and other instructions like directions or special attires or when to yell, “SURPRISE!”

It should also be mailed (or e-mailed, but snail mail is much more personal) at least two weeks before the event to give the invited time to fix their schedules and RSVP.

There are pre-made content available on the web but these should only be used as a sort of template for writing one’s own.

It would be highly embarrassing to have people go online and find that the things written in the invitation they received was copied from some website word for word.

Here are some innovative design ideas for bachelorette invites:

Pop-up

Contrary to popular belief, this method is not exclusive for children. Would it not be cute to open an invite and have a gorgeous stiletto pump pop-up?

Mirror image

There are mirrors or at least reflective surfaces almost everywhere that can be used for this. The backwards writing can be easily read by facing it to a mirror.

This is a bit Da Vinci Code-ish, but it would be fun to make the invited work for the information a little. At least they are not asked to decipher a riddle.

Invisible

If the budget is not very constricting, write the invites in invisible ink. Include a small black light (usually comes with the invisible ink pen) in the package.

It may seem like hard work to make these bachelorette invites. But isn’t that what the rest of the bridal party is for?

A day for invitation making could be set aside, which could also be a chance for the girls to bond and exchange stories.
